TESTS TO ASSESS INTESTINAL INFLAMMATION.
CALPROTECTIN DOSAGE: NON-INVASIVE METHOD FOR ASSESSING INTESTINAL INFLAMMATION.
Chronic Intestinal Inflammatory Diseases, Irritable Intestinal Syndrome? To discover it there are two tests, both manufactured by Eurospital, for the detection and measurement of calprotectin: CalFast XT (rapid test) and Calprest NG (enzymatic immunoassay). Both tests are non-invasive and allow the differential diagnosis between organic inflammatory pathologies (IBD) and functional disorders (IBS). Easy, characterized by simple execution and simple reading, Calprest NG allows the quantitative determination of calprotectin in stool to identify those patients with possible inflammation of the intestine to undergo further analysis. Particularly indicated also for the follow-up and monitoring of drug therapies, Calprest NG is a valuable aid to identify early relapses and to adapt the therapeutic strategy. CalFast XT is an immunochromatographic rapid test on cassette that allows a quick, accurate and quantitative analysis of calprotectin, permitting the identification of subjects with symptoms referring to Chronic Intestinal Inflammatory Diseases in less than 20 minutes.
